Dh with low motility

Postby Love » Wed Oct 21, 2015 9:36 am

Hi

My dh had his SA done and it turned out with 16% motility. We are ttc#1 for over a year now with no success.
Can anyone tell me is there any way to improve sperm motility

Hi,

DH has been taking Wellman Conception for 6 months before we finally had our BFP. He had low count, motility and morphology (so low that we had been accepted for NHS-funded IVF and were about to start treatment). He didn't to another SA, but given that we managed a BFP I'd guess his numbers improved enough.

Other thing to make sure of is for DH to keep his "factories" nice and cool: so no hot bath, keep the laptop away, and avoid tight underwear.

I hope your DH's swimmers improve soon!

We were told 7 years ago that should had low count, motility and morph. We adopted 3 kids and gave up trying to get pregnant. This last year has been so stressful with our little boys but he and I made a commitment to get healthy and started insanity max 30 workout and drinking shakeology and never felt better. We had fun together and in September I was late for my period and tada! I can't say the exercise and eating better did it but it couldn't have hurt his sperm issues in sure. Good luck! It only takes one good one

Congrats on your pregnancy!! I was going to comment and say that my brother in law has low motility and he and his wife were trying for over a year to conceive. I was just going to let you know there is still hope! Congrats again!
