Almost 5 weeks, don't feel pregnant

Postby MamaBird912 » Sun Nov 29, 2015 9:55 am

I'll be 5 weeks pregnant on Tuesday and don't really feel different than normal. I was queasy around the time I got my first bfp at 10-12 dpo but now there's no sickness. My boobs hurt a little, but I have fibroids in my chest so I'm used to that. I had bad cramps with my son but hardly feel anything this time. I do feel tired and a little on edge, like I cry easily and snap at my DH. I'm kind of nervous about it. Anyone else not feel anything this early? I was nauseated and dizzy on and off for 2 weeks last pregnancy but never vomited..could I just be lucky and my body handles pregnancy well?

Every woman is different in every pregnancy :) At 5 weeks plenty of women don't even know they're pregnant yet - and there are indeed some women who just never feel any major early symptoms at all! The fatigue and emotional symptoms you've described definitely sound like pregnancy symptoms to me, though, especially if you've missed your period. Do you have a prenatal appointment scheduled yet? If your prenatal appointment isn't for a few more weeks, you could call your GP or OB/midwife and ask for bloodwork to confirm the pregnancy - but I know that's not an option for everyone. Another option is to continue POAS, but that can get pricey as well!

Regardless, I think what you're feeling is totally normal; certainly frustrating, but not unusual or particularly concerning. Best of luck to you :)

I have poas so many times. I tested every day from 9dpo to 16dpo, and my lines kept getting darker. My last test matched the control line, a beautiful bfp. My first appointment is less than a month away. Dec22 (:

I never got morning sickness, didn't pee all the time, didn't get food aversions until 2nd tri...I was still doing everything normally. I was a bit more emotional and was ready for bed earlier each night, but that was about it. Some women handle pregnancy that way! Maybe you will be lucky and have it easy this go-around :)

Hey there I'm a newbie. I'm 5 weeks and 3 days and don't have many symptoms but super sore boobs especially at night. Also they have grown so much which Dh loves. I also get bloated at night and a bit crampy. I have also had a decreasing appetite for Bkfst which is unusual for me since I love Bkfst the most. This will be my third child and I never threw up with my first two I just had The nauseous queasy feeling from week 7 to 11 usually and would chew peppermint gum non stop to ease that nauseous feeling. Hoping this pregnancy is just as good as my first two.

My first sono is next Thursday!
