Breast Pumps... The good, the bad, the ugly

Postby LPCmommy » Tue Apr 26, 2016 6:43 pm

What do y'all recommend??? I've never had a pump and some are super expensive... some look like crap. I just want a reliable pump that isn't 300$

Can't make any recommendations as this will be my first child, but if you're in the US, insurance now has to cover either the purchase or rental of a pump.
I actually got in touch with my insurance yesterday to start the whole process and they said they would cover the purchase of a double electric pump (the good ones are the $300 ones like Medela and I don't remember right now the name of the other brand) or if I preferred to have a hospital grade pump they would pay the rental fee for me. You just gotta follow their instructions, like for example I have to get mine through a durable medical equipment provider (I'm doing it online with McKesson), I can't just go to Target and purchase one cause I won't be refunded.
