Yaaaay! :) Can we talk about exhaustion? I think my husband thinks I'm faking how tired I am. I got home from work yesterday and we took an hour long nap, then I fell asleep again at 10pm... then woke up at 5:59 on the dot! It's seriously crazy. Hahaha.

Hey Ladies I'm here. Have any of you gone to the doctor for anything yet? have an u/s scheduled? I swear it's like pulling teeth to get anything done around here. No wonder people don't go to the doctor and give birth at home.

I know!! I have never been this tired in my life!!! I am generally always a mid level energy person as in sometimes I have to pursuaded to get up and do something. But, right now when I am not working I am on the couch often napping. And I've been going to bed at 7-8 pm!!! Oh and napping in my car on my lunch break!

When is your first doctor appt? Have you had any beta tests done?

My hcg reached 11,000 by 5 weeks! Nurse keeps joking it's twins... uh what!?

Hey Bre!

Since I was already seeing a reproductive endocrinologist they have kinda treated this pregnancy at 'high risk'. So they are carefully monitoring me. They watched my hcg beta levels until they reached past 10,000. And we have our first u/s this coming Monday 6/5. We will know then if multiples or not - omg!

I know that there are some clinics out there that can get you in for a blood test right away. And then some that take for-ev-er. I would just keep shopping around.

I don't have an appointment until the 8th week, on June 19th. I'll have a vaginal U/S, bloodwork, and meet with the doctor. I'm scared to buy anything pregnancy related until we have it confirmed. Only about 2 1/2 weeks to go and I'm SUPER impatient about it. I know. The US is the worst unless you have had issues before with a pregnancy. Like... I can be concerned too! I want them to at least bring me in for bloodwork sooner.

I haven't been able to have my betas done yet. There was only 1 doctor of the 9 i called that does it right away and I'm waiting for them to call me back (since yesterday afternoon). All the others wait until 8-10 weeks to do blood work. Apparently cervical cancer in Oct 2015 (ya know where they cut a chunk of my cervix out) and a mc in Sept of 2016 isn't a "risk" because i haven't had 2 mc. So I'm on edge waiting for this place to call me back because if they don't it'll be a long long 8 weeks (which isn't until the very end of June for me). Since I had my mc confirmed at 7w5 d (but my symptoms all disappeared during 6w) even at 8weeks i'll still be on edge. And i keep getting these pinching pains near my belly button and all i can think about is the cramps from my mc because they weren't as bad as everyone made them out to be. I'm so worried and none of the doctors give a sh*t because it's not procedure.

Kat you're so lucky you go in for an u/s in 3 days.

That is so frustrating Bre. :( I'm so sorry. I had been referred to an OBGYN because my husband and I had quite a bit of bleeding after sex for a while. It turned out to be nothing, but it's still scary. This was before the pregnancy a few years back. A nurse practioner told me "it's either an STD or cervical cancer." Which my Mom had cervical cancer, so I freaked out cause I knew it wasn't an STD. Apparently the skin on my cervix wasn't "fully matured" so it was more sensitive to being irritated during sex. Now, we're mostly fine, but I've still been scared to really go at it. Also I have, like, zero sex drive right now. I feel bad for my husband.

I had bleeding during sex too a few years back and they found it was my birth control making my cervical lining weak or something of the sort so i had break through bleeding often. I haven't been on birth control for about 6 years (my youngest is 5 lol). But I finally got my call back and they said they called the blood work into the lab and i can go whenever and then have to go back in 48 hours. YAY! I may have to wait until Monday after work though to do it because we aren't telling my kids yet and i wouldn't want to bring them for that and Fridays are pretty busy after work.

It works!!

Thanks, Maggie.

I'm so happy you started a pregnancy board. I didn't dare post too much in the other thread because I didn't dare complain about my nausea and tiredness to people wanting to get pregnant. It's been good on that front since week sixteen, though I'm not as active as I used to be. Baby demands naps, lol.
I'm in week 27, and baby takes up a lot of space now. I can take a walk, but at a slow pace. A fast walk triggers a right side cramp almost immediately.

Congrats Bre, and good that you found a place to do your betas. Here in Canada, we don't even get to see the doctor or have blood work done before 10 weeks unless we bleed or something is clearly wrong, but we also don't pay for medical (but we pay through our taxes). I hope you get a great number to ease your worries.

I had no sex drive weeks 6-16, but it went into overdrive weeks 16-24. I woke up in the middle of the night craving sex and thought about it all the time. So maybe your husband better get a bit of rest for that phase. Ah!
Now, it's pretty much back to normal.

Anne, I'm so happy you figured it out! Yay!

Yeah, there's like a 5 minute window MAYBE if I feel like it... but late evening is definitely a no go. I told him he's gonna have to start waking up in the mornings when I have energy if he wants to get some.

And I feel the same way. I was scared to update the other group cause I don't want to seem like I'm complaining. Even though I am. But it's like happy complaining.
