I'm looking for a recommendation on a good baby sling. Do you like more of the sling type or the front pack type. Links would be great!

DS and I absolutely love the Babyhawk Mei Tai! I have had an infantino style rider...hate it...it hurts my back so bad. Also a munchkin jelly bean (hot sling type) and my son didn't really care for it. I always felt like it put too much pressure on his little head.

My SIL loves this one in Bali Breeze for the breathability.

Thanks ladies! I was looking at the Mobi Wrap. Any thoughts on that one?

I haven't used a Moby, but SIL has one and really likes the Bali wrap better. She said the Moby is hot.

That's a good point. I don't have any air conditioner and summer gets hot here! I will definitely take a closer look at that one.

I have a Moby and loved it when DS was small. I wish I would have bought it before he was born. Once he got heavier I used the Ergo. And that one can get hot, but I bought the sport one that is more breathable. I do think though that it's hot because you have another person stuck to the front of you, lol. Saying that though I read that a mother's chest will change temperature to adapt to their childs body temperature.

I also found the Moby was a bit hot. Love the Beco Butterfly though. It has a little pouch that your LO sits in that makes it easier to transfer from your front to your back, plus it's easier to pass them in it from person to person.

Bit pricey, but usable up to 45lbs, so you get your money's worth!

eta: They're having a sale on these patterns:

Huhu :D the post is a bit old but I'm currently looking for a good baby carrier. I first wanted a Baby Bjorn but as I've heard that it is really bad for newborns because you cannot carry the LO in a jockey position with the thighs supported and the hips and knees bent. A good friend has recommended the Manduca Sling from http://www.prams.net Does anyone have experience with the Manduca slings?

I'm also very happy about some further recommendations. I tried the Moby in a shop but I didn't find it very comfortable as it felt very hot with all the wrapping, so i'd prefer more a front back type of carrier.

Mobi wrap http://mobywrap.com/ is nice; though I'd prefer my Babyography https://www.babyography.net.au/carriers-and-slings-baby sling (recommended by a friend) over that one. I just love the quality and fact it doesn't impose much pressure on my DD's head. :D

I've tried quite a few including the Storchenweige which is basically just a long piece of fabric. This was good for feeling like a Maasai tribes woman, but not so good at being quick and hassle free. (Huge respect to you though if you have pulled one of these off!)

My favorite so far is the Tula Ergonomic. But only when Bubba is a bit older, say 6 months +

Found a good review here, plus some good info on choosing the right sling:

When Bubba is newborn, then I preferred softer ones, eg, Moby Wrap.

Hope this helps!
