what do you think?-update suggestions?

Postby Tiffne » Wed Jan 21, 2015 5:30 pm

I'm in love with the name Silas. We are set on that being his name. Dhs son picked Gage as the middle. I like Gage but I'm not sure how it sounds together?
As for the girl I was really liking Sophia Lynn. Lynn is set as it's mine,my mother's, and my Gma's middle name. I'm hoping it will keep getting passed down. But now That DH is finally agreed to Sophia, I realized it's super popular and I'm feeling discouraged. So my question is, What do you think of the names Silas Gage and Sophia Lynn? As individual names as well as names for twins? TIA!

I have a little cousin named Gage and I love it. It's very unique. I think both of your names are great and beautiful.

Thank you! I've really grown to the name the more I say it but DH came home today and told me Gage was off the table because of a reference to the Pet Cemetery? I know nothing about the book but it has totally turned him off. So back to the drawing board for Silas.. Any suggestions?

I really like the names you've picked out! I hate it when something random like that "ruins" a name for you because of a character in a book, some kid who bullied you in school, etc...

What about:

Silas Burke
Silas Mason
Silas Owen
Silas Hudson

As far as the girls name, I think Sophia is such a beautiful name. But I totally understand the popularity issue. What if you chose Sophie Lynn instead of Sophia Lynn? Silas & Sophie. I think those are perfect stand-alone names and are cute together for twins.

Sophie is popular too, but either Sophia or Sophie is a classic. They are popular, but not trendy, so if you love them I wouldn't feel bad about using them!

I also really love Silas. Unfortunately, we can't use that because our last name starts with an S and I don't want the two names to run together. But you should use it! :)
