Anybody ever really not have morning sickness?

Postby orionslight » Wed Jun 17, 2015 4:21 am

I have a tiny bit of nausea here and there but nothing else. I usually get really sick and now I'm worried. Anybody not get sick and their baby was ok?

Oh I wish lol. All joking aside, I have run into several ladies who have never felt sick in their pregnancy, or had only very mild nausea, and their babies were perfectly fine. My mom, for example, didn't feel sick at all when she carried me or my sister. My grandmother didn't feel sick when she carried two of her three children. I also have a few friends who didn't feel the slightest bit nauseous while pregnant. How far along are you? Sometimes it doesn't manifest until 6 or 8 weeks. I know its easy to say you should just feel lucky but I won't say that because I understand how a lack of symptoms can cause anxiety. But I have seen other ladies post on here worried about their lack of morning sickness and everything turned out fine. If anything, I'd think it would mean you were very well balanced pre-pregnancy and maybe your body is just responding very well to the changes you're going through. Hang in there. The first trimester is the hardest because of the anxiety. :hugs:

I never threw up but woke up feeling like I had an awful hangover from about 5-8 weeks! Not a typical few drinks hangover, I'm talking NYE party shots, cheap champagne, beer pong til 3am, going ham sammich the night before hangover lol. Foggy head and no appetite.. I lost 10lbs. It was honestly awful, I would have rather had nausea & puked then feel like that all day.

All is well at 12 weeks! Just goes to show everyone handles the first trimester differently!

I never had nausea. I threw up one time, and I don't even know if that was pregnancy related, lol. I just had a constant heartburn/reflux discomfort, food aversions, and fatigue. I'm now 27 weeks and baby is doing great, and my doctor just said I was lucky to not be sick :)

I did not have morning sickness at all with my first pregnancy. I think I threw up s total of three times and they were just flukes. Everything turned out fine. :)

I was super sick with my last pregnancy this year that ended in mc - I mean puking left and right, a constant sea-sick feeling all day. I was SOO shocked when that pregnancy ended in mc - we saw the hb at 6.5 weeks, I had horrible ms...I mean it just didn't make sense. This pregnancy - I'm not as sick as I was with the mc I just had. I'm kind of scared too - since I've heard that the worse the ms the healthier the pregnancy is. (not sure if that's entirely true though). I've also heard the wives' tale that you get more ms pregnant with girls than boys - is that true? Leslie, was your first pregnancy a boy or girl??

I had a touch of nausea if I didn't eat in time for maybe 2 weeks....but I never threw up and I felt more or less normal, just very tired. So, MS skipped me, and baby boy is doing just fine in there :)

Hmm...I seem to keep seeing that those with LESS ms ended up with baby boys, is that coincidence?! LOL

My mum!! Never had any ms with me or my brother!!

Me not as lucky. Started puking in the shower at 5weeks and I literally begin to gag as soon as my medication wears off. Didn't have this with the pregnancy that ended in MC.

So far I just feel a lil nausea.. only once when I took my prenatal first thing in the morning on a empty stomach did I feel really sick. I get nausea if I have to cook meat or anything in the morning,I put some ham on the pan to make warm it for a English muffin and was so grossed out I couldn't even look at it.. I kept gagging lol so silly. But I'm fine cooking dinner

I have zero, I guess I am lucky, but this is my first, and having hardly any symptoms at all, except my sense of smell was insane ( I think it still is, but I am used to it), my boobs did hurt, but that's gone, and I had light cramping, but not anymore, but I do get up to pee in the middle of the night, and go to bed early and sleep late..... Honestly I was going crazy, then they did the ultrasound, and there it was, it wiggled, and she had no issue with getting a heart beat. And I was honestly shocked, since I literally do not feel pregnant.. I am 9w4d.

This is my 16th pregnancy. I have had 11 miscarriages and 4 living children. I've only ONCE had any hint of nausea, and it was one of my miscarriages. Every other pregnancy, including my healthy babies, I had NOTHING. Nada. I always say I would GLADLY take it if it guaranteed a healthy pregnancy. But it doesn't.
