Low blood pressure, normal?

Postby Duke27 » Tue Jul 21, 2015 11:58 am

Hi ladies. I just got back from the doctors and they told me I have a low blood pressure of 90/50 I'm so dizzy at times and short of breath they said it's normal as I'm young and small and during pregnancy. Does this sound normal to you? I'm freaking myself out! :-( I haven't been acting much recently as I've been feeling so sick and haven't been drinking much either. What so you think and should I worry? I also look extremely pale.

That was what mine was at my first appointment! Mine has not been higher than 110/60 this whole pregnancy! Healthier to have a lower BP Than high! Just relax!

I was sent to the ER by my doctor after nearly passing out three times. I thought maybe it was blood sugar because I'm hypoglycemic but when I got to the ER my sugar was normal. I wasn't able to keep enough fluids down at the time so I was dehydrated which caused my BP to drop to 89/50. They gave me a bag of saline IV which helped but its been low since then. I think the highest my BP has been was 100/60. I have low BP normally but its lower since I've been pregnant. Every doctor I've talked to about it said its perfectly normal. Try to stay on top of drinking fluids.
