Postby Mrsjvp » Sat Sep 26, 2015 7:28 am

When do you take yours? One morning I took right when I woke up and I was sick all day long. My sil suggested I take at night so I tried that last night & I kept waking up feeling sick.

I suggest taking them along with a regular meal like lunch or dinner. I used to take mine in the morning, but I've been getting morning sickness / all-day nausea so morning's not good anymore. I've taken mine in the evening now, along with dinner, and it's been better.

I've always been very sensitive to the fillers in vitamins, so I went for a prenatal gummy vitamin which I tolerate MUCH more easily. Regardless though, I always take mine after a meal - usually lunch. Otherwise I do tend to feel sick for a while afterward - with the regular prenatals (or any vitamins for that matter) it generally upsets my stomach enough that I can't keep it down.

I take mine about an hour after dinner - so maybe 2-3 hours before bed. Prenatals seem to give me heartburn, so I find that having them at night is the best, so this way if I do feel uncomfortable, I can just rest on the bed or something. I'm a little bit wary of gummy prenatal vitamins -- they don't seem to have as much nutrients as my pills. In order to get enough folic acid, for example, I feel like I'd have to eat twice the dose. However, I'm worried that I'd have too much of other ingredients.

I'm not sure what gummies you've looked at, Agonize, but mine have the recommended dose of folic acid - after comparing to the non-gummies on the shelf, they're exactly the same dosages, just more expensive.
