Lines not progressing...

Postby ksi0512 » Tue Dec 08, 2015 6:59 am

Hey ladies! I got my BFP on Friday at 10DPO, also much more obvious on my FRER. I also took a digital and got a positive at 12DPO.
Today is 14DPO, AF would be due tomorrow. I've taken these Clinical Guard tests every day since 10DPO using FMU. I felt good about them until this morning. It actually looks lighter today.
Any advise? I don't have a doctors appointment until the 22nd. I'm trying to not panic. :)

They look ok to me. First, your hcg only doubles every 2 days, not everyday, so you might occasionally have a day where it doesn't look like it progressed, or your urine could have been less concentrated for some reason that time. But second, it's really not fair to compare a wet test against a dry test. The tests always dry darker. It's actually a bad idea to compare dry tests even though everyone does, because after the time limit it doesn't mean anything (some could dry darker than others for no reason). When I first had my BFP, I took a pic of each test at the time limit and used a collage app on my phone to put them together to compare and look at progression. That way I was looking at all wet tests at the same time limit.

I think you are probably fine, test again tomorrow and compare it to your pic from today of the wet test, not the dry one. Good luck :)

I never thought about wet versus dry either. Here they are dry. I won't worry about it so much. :) thanks!

Agree with what Amanda said.
Also, cheapie tests take longer to get dark and show a good progression even when you take them every two days. Yes some women go from faint line to beating the control line in 3 days for who knows what reason but remember that the average woman will have a slow but steady progression. I like to use FRER for progression cause although they're expensive they give you the nice progression you're wanting to look at.
With this pregnancy I started a progression with FRER and Walmart cheapies... Let me tell you that if it were for the cheapies I would still be POAS even at 13 weeks trying to beat the control line on those lol. And then a few days ago I see a post on FB of this chick that just found out she's pregnant and her walmart test is super dark... Wtf? Haha

Haha. Thanks for the advice. I do feel better... I mean they're like 50 cent tests, anyway. Lol! If I'm still worried I'll do another digital with weeks indicator in like a week. Thank you both!!
