Tay Sachs screening

Postby HyacinthandBiscuits » Thu Sep 22, 2016 8:36 am

Can anyone advise me on this?
Has anyone been through screening ?
I want to do it because my dad mentioned he believes he is a carrier, which would give me a 50% chance of being a carrier.
My partner, being of Jewish heritage has a chance of being a carrier as well. I'm frustratedto learn that my doctor failed to test... After I'd been waiting weeks for the results. I feel stressed because however low the chances may be, I would consider not proceeding with the pregnancy if an amino proved my child had the disease. Obviously the longer this whole process takes the worse.
