Confusing Beta levels

Postby Sharkie78516 » Thu Apr 27, 2017 9:34 am

This is pretty long and complicated. Please bear with me:

I'm 6w2d pregnant (i think). I got my HcG levels checked a week ago because I was having pain on my right side. Ultrasound showed no fetal pole, but did show a gestational sac. My numbers were about 4,000 (at 4w6d). I went every other day to monitor my levels, and they increased by double every 48 hours (which is good, right?) Except on Sunday I unded up in the ER with spotting and right side cramping again. My levels were 44,000 (at 5w5d) and still no fetal pole. My doc says that my levels are much too high not to see at least a fetal pole. But since my levels kept rising, we decided just to wait. I have another ultrasound on Friday, but my levels seemed to have plateau'd at 44,000. Anyone been through this? I know it's a 50/50 shot here, just looking to see if anyone has ever been in this position before.
