Light brown spotting - freaking out please help!

Hi ladies

I'm new here and it's my first time posting on the pregnant boards. I was previously posting on TTC.

I'm overseas ATM and I'm 6 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Last week I noticed very light brown mucousy discharge when I wiped and then maybe 1-2 drops in a panty liner. I started freaking out and googled and called my mum back home. Apparently it's common and I shouldn't worry unless it's bright red and lots of it? I'm framing out as m far away from my doctor and don't know if this is normal. I still have this on most days. There is no red blood at al, just very faint brown and only when I wipe really,

Has anyone had this before? What causes it? Should I be worried? I suffer from anxiety so I'm not feeling too good :(

Thanks in advance!

Ive had this both pregnancies. It can be totally normal, as it is this time for me. Baby is just burrowing in. And I'm sorry to cause more worry but with my first pregnancy ir was a sign of an ectopic. If your babe's placement has been confirmed in the uterus then I wouldn't worry at all, unless as you said it turns bright red or increases in amount. Good luck!

Thanks for replying to me BreeandJoe

I'm sorry to hear about your ectopic. Unfortunately I haven't had any scans yet as I've been overseas so the baby's placement hasn't been confirmed. I don't have any cramps at all and the spotting is now a very faint colour, almost clear. If it was ectopic, would I have any other symptoms?

I had pain on my lower right side, like a pinching pain. But that all. However, I had very similar pain this pregnancy from a cyst on my ovary. Only way to know for sure is a scan. There aren't major symptoms until it ruptures, and then it is a life-threatening emergency... best of luck to you, I hope everything is perfect. When will you be home and able to get a scan?
