I'm impressed with the sucess rate also! Thought for sure I'd get some saying it was wrong.

I'm on a countdown...about 1 week (Monday). Can't wait!

Last pregnancy I guessed boy based on the nub theory (12 weeks)... but I wasn't even sure I was seeing the nub. I had a dream super early on that it was a boy too...and it seemed so real. It was a boy indeed! The tech wouldn't even give me a guess...

This time I have one on Monday at 12 weeks 4 days..and the u/s will be at the same place. I'm really hoping they will give me a guess this time. I haven't had any dreams or real feelings one way or the other... but I'm dying to know!

That being said...I've heard of stories where people got late scans and still ended up having a big "surprise" at the end!!!

At my NT the doc guessed boy, but not based on a nub shot, based on another pic that to me was quite confusing. When I posted my nub shot at In-gender I got lots of different guesses, but the ultrasound tech there said it looked very girly to her. I'm waiting to see who is right. I have an appointment on Thursday, but I don't think they'll do a scan. My big one is October 19th.

URGH! Why is it that my techs can't even venture a guess... they really have no idea. Oh well... glad the baby is doing well.. but it would have been fun to have had at least a guess. Sigh.

So sorry obxgirl. I know how frustrating that can be. And, to have to wait until 20wks. I think that's why so many of the moms here opted for the elective u/s!

Oh, no Lousli. That's not helpful! lol. What are you supposed to think with THAT information?

Congrats Bubble! :jump:

I was 11w5d and the Dr guessed girl. But we just got results back from a CVS that says it is a boy so he was wrong.

It's official! My peri was right when she guessed girl at 13 weeks 1 day!

Also I had found a study that discovered that when peris use high resolution equipment, they are able to guess accurately 100% whenever it's feasible--I guess that means if the LO cooperates and the parts are formed enough to see clearly. I can't remember how many peris were in the study. I can't find it again for the life of me.

That's too bad ttcintx. Goofy docs.

Yay for you caltron! I have to imagine that a peri would be more correct :)

Well, actually, we were kinda happy he was wrong!! DH especially was hoping for another boy - although he didn't tell me that until after the Dr. told us the results!

No, our tech wouldn't guess. I asked her but she seemed new at the job.
