Big Meals

Anyone else have trouble keeping down a big meal? I don't overdo it, but if I eat until I'm full I always end up sick. I didn't expect this until the 3rd trimester, as I usually have this problem once my belly gets really big. But my belly is not very big and I'm not ready to snack for the next 5 months! :(

Oh yes, I've been feeling the same way for a few weeks now. My appetite has finally come flooding back but I can't eat more than a handful of food at a sitting. Otherwise I feel as if my lungs and stomach are going to burst through my chest. :( The same goes for any liquids. I find it's really easy to fill up on liquids and completely ruin my appetite lately so I try to avoid liquids during meals.

I had that for a short while in early/mid second trimester, and then something shifted or something because then I didn't have that again until I was a couple weeks into the third tri.
Recently had our first child and have been married since October 6, 2006. I'm 27 and DH 29.

Yup same here. I expected it in the first tri but even now that my appetite is better, I can only eat small meals. Almost feel like my stomach shrank? If I overdo it, I feel sick and uncomfortable.
Baby is growing fine and is right on track so he's getting what he needs. But it is a bummer to feel like eating is a chore because it's not enjoyable.

It happened to me for the first time ever last night! DH and I went out for pizza at Mellow Mushroom. I had two pieces, and I felt awful afterwards. I woke up in the middle of the night and threw up a little bit. Glad to see that it's "normal."

I've noticed the same thing! No one told me that about pregnancy, and I am not sure how anyone gains too much weight during pregnancy! I have to eat less than I used to!

I have had the same problem. I can't help but wonder how much worse it's going to get if I'm already feeling this way at 4 months--but it's good to hear that maybe it will come and go a litte bit.
