The affectionately named "honeymoon trimester". Your belly is getting bigger and you start to feel your first baby kicks. Are you having a boy or a girl?

Travel at 30 weeks?

Postby Whig » Thu Nov 21, 2013 6:47 am

So I know that being 30 weeks would put me in 3rd trimester but I'm posting here because this is my home for now :)

I got offered a chance to go to Vegas for work in March, I would be 30 weeks along at that point. It would be a flight from MN to CA and a 2-3 day stay, then a flight home. I am just curious what you all would do if given the situation? I have to decide within the next day or two so I can't really wait until closer to March to see if anything comes up.

This is my second pregnancy and my first was very normal and had no complications what-so-ever. I know they can be different each time but it's hard to plan for anything out of the ordinary.

So what would you ladies do? Go on the trip? It'd be a great career opportunity for me and I've never been to Vegas, so of course that appeals as well. Thoughts would be great!

I would go ahead and get approval now with your health care provider, knowing you might have to cancel if something changes with your pregnancy. At 30 weeks, i still felt pretty good :)

Since you're flying and the pregnancy is smooth I would go. I made a 15hr trip by car (one way) to go home to visit for a week at 24wks last pregnancy and I will NEVER do that again. I was miserable and it took me a week to recover. I think they recommend no flying after 34-36wks.
