Ugh, that's a lot of tests! Here they do a fasting blood glucose screen at 6-8 weeks (but no drinking the orange stuff), then a 2-hour test with the orange stuff at 25ish weeks I think. If you are marginal on either, I think there is a whole other round of testing but luckily I have been in the clear with all my pgs so far... Good luck with yours!

Yikes, that's a lot! Is it just because of your family history, or is that standard?
Here we only do the 1hr, if we fail then they now do a 2hr, then if you fail that, a 3hr. I've only ever done the 1hr.

Hi, I'm in the UK, I have family history of diabetes, my Glucose test is being scheduled for 28 weeks, it's my first baby so no idea if it's normal or not. Is your pregnancy high risk? Over here they do extra tests of everything if high risk.

My OB just had me do one at 26 weeks (she considers me a week ahead of where I consider myself, which is why my ticker says 25 weeks :-)) and that's it. Do you have some extra risk factors?

I had gestational diabetes with my last child so I had to do a 1hr glucose at around 10 weeks and won't be doing another until 28wks.
