Growing Pains

Postby mexicanchick718 » Thu Jan 30, 2014 4:48 pm

I am 22weeks and this past Sunday was a horrible day. I have not had many bad days and seem to be handling pregnancy very well (or so I think..hehe). My abdominal area just felt it was litterally going to pop. I felt super bloated and it hurt. Is this normal? The next day I was perfectly fine. My back was in extreme pain too and better the next day.

Sorry to hear, Christina. :( The only ache I've been getting is in my hips if I lay on one side for too long in the night. For the most part, I still don't feel pregnant until I walk past a mirror and get a glimpse of my growing belly. :) I swear that if we are ever blessed with another baby, it's gonna be brutal. I will be punished for having such an easy pregnancy with this one!

Mine has been fairly easy well except for the bleeding at the beginning and my one day of pain...haha. It was so weird. Who knows.

Sounds pretty normal MexicanChick!

I'm around 20 weeks and every once in awhile I've been getting pretty intense ligament stretching pain, near my hip bones. I think I'm feeling what's called "round ligament pain". Maybe this is what you're feeling as well? I've also been reading that the baby goes through growth spurts so maybe this is also happening to you during these times.

So I think it's all good, even though it's painful, because it means your baby is growing strong!

Yep i have had this, its goes with when i`m having a growth spurt. My belly literally feels like it will burst open, super tight and uncomfortable. Usually only lasts a day and then i feel more relaxed and comfortable. Mine usually coincides with dizzy spells, and a headache. I try to take it as easy as possible and get an early night. Its not very nice when its happens, but i`m thankful its only a day or so : )

Same here. I get RLP all the time but I can totally tell when my bub is having a spurt. I had a horrible couple of days right around 26wks. I literally felt like I did at the end with my twins 8O I think my boys just like giving me a hard time from the get go because I never experience discomfort really with my girl pregnancies. I also carried my girls more toward my back too. I think this time part of my discomfort is having a normally placed placeta. My last pregnancy was my first in 10yrs and I had an anterior placenta which cushioned everything plus I carried her more to the back so my belly didn't "pop" as quickly or get as big. Some days I feel like the world's biggest wimp.

This is around the time I start to feel very uncomfortable. I have fibroids on my uterus as well and as baby grows they do too. He is riding way low so walking kinda hurts as well. Its boys I tell ya!! They give the most pains lol! So be lucky you're having a girl!

Oh im sorry to hear boys are just a pain...hehe I can agree since I have two younger brothers. Sounds weird but my pelvic bone has been sore these past few days. Wondering if she could really be that low??

Last two days my stomach has been feeling quite hard and bloated, and sort of sore when I woke up this morning. Not that fun.....

Yeah mainly the pain or uncomfy I get is something that feels like pain in the crotch.. and seriously feels like a kick.. like the baby's leg is going to pop right out. lol I know it's redic but seriously that's what it feels like! And I will pop right up when it happens. It startles me! It almost also feels like I'm going to pee myself. Just sayin.
