Baby Moving?

Postby lovem » Thu May 15, 2014 11:17 am

At what week did you ladies feel your baby moving and if so, what did it feel like? I'll be 18 weeks tomorrow and I haven't felt my baby kick yet.
I had a ob/gyn appointment yesterday and my baby heartbeat was in the 160s and doctor says it was good. I'm just pretty anxious about wanting to feel my baby move!

I'm a first time mom, btw!

I felt little things from around 17-18 weeks, but only when i laid down and really concentrated....I never felt "flutters" more like pops or flicks. I am 21 1/2 weeks and feel the same flicks throughout the day...some days more than others! Husband has not been able to feel anything yet!!!

I felt flutters around 16 weeks (maybe twice that week) both times in the morning when I was laying in bed. They are so subtle at first that you wouldn't notice them when you were going about your normal day. Kicking started lightly around 17-18 weeks maybe, and was incredibly strong by 19-20 weeks. You could even see the kicks at that point. I know it's hard to wait because you just want to feel the baby and know they are healthy, but you should feel it really soon! Some people don't feel anything until way later (especially if it is a first pregnancy) so don't worry if it takes a while.

This being my 3rd I felt flutters at 12 weeks. With my first I believe it was around 18-20 weeks. The heartbeat is a very good one so don't worry 160 us awesome that's what my current babies heartbeat was at 18.

Thanks ladies for the words of encouragement!

I'm just ready to feel my baby move. The only thing that ensures me that my baby is doing fine are those monthly appointments which are wayyy too long for me!

Same as most, I felt what was like popcorn between 17-29 weeks and didn't feel really definite kicks that were 100% not gas or anything else until closer to 22 weeks. Hope you feel it soon!! I found that in yoga one in particular pose I felt a bit more. You sit in lotus or whatever with your feet together, the typical yoga seated pose, then lean back against something kind of reclined so you're at about a 45 degree angle with your legs butterflied. You can put your hands on your stomach but I found that I felt more in this position than any other time early on.
