Is tearing genetic? I was shocked to find out my mom tore with me big time and I was only 5 lbs 3 oz.

This does not bode well if so.

I like straight up coconut oil. I also bought a tub of raw shea butter (like the raw unprocessed stuff). I've been whipping it with a spare hand mixer into a really nice butter and adding essential oils. It's heavenly as far as moisturizing! It doesn't smell as perfumy as store stuff. But it's literally nothing in it but shea butter out of the shea nut. And some lavender. Once I started making my own skin care stuff I became really skeptical about the things we spend money on. :P I'm a huge fan of standing in aisles and reading labels all day long until I find the perfect lotion.... and I'm starting to think all the gimmicks and hype are BS (duh) and using raw stuff is where it's at.

My mom picked me up a new obsession! & I think it might be really good for us preggos as it has all those good oils in it and this one really isn't greasy, promise! I actually remember convincing myself the feeling from the palmers body butter meant I wouldn't get marks lol but this is Bath & Body Works Hardworking Hand & Body Cream in Sweet Clementine.. The smell might be too strong if you have ms and I'm not usually one for fragranced lotions but I LOVE the strong orange scent in it. Not sure how much it costs either but here's what it looks like & ingredients! Sry for the big pics, idk how to resize :/

I think stretch marks kinda depend on your genetics. I had small stretch marks from gaining weight and got them RIGHT away in my first pregnancy. I tried and tried cocoa butter and vitamin e to keep them from getting worse. By the time I was full term, my belly looked like a citrus fruit. I'd say there's nothing stoppi9ng you from slathering yourself up. On my second pregnancy, heavy than before and definitely showing more than the first time around but no stretch marks yet. I figure the ones from last time around are doing their job. And the ones from first time around are slivery, not bright red. Skin has been already stretched, I guess!

This stuff is amazing, super cheap compared to other "stretch mark remedies" & I never knew it had collagen & elastin in it as well so it should be really good for helping to keep our growing belly/boob skin stretchy & hydrated! It's nice and thick, super moisturizing and after a few minutes there's no greasy feel at all, just super soft skin(:
