Cramping in second trimester?

Postby adventurer » Sat Feb 14, 2015 11:32 am

Hi ladies: since yesterday, I've been cramping. It doesn't feel like AF cramps since the pain is sharp and radiates to my perineum. It seems to be followed by passing gas and this morning having a BM seems to have made it better (sorry tmi). I'm not bleeding. Anyone experienced this before? Should I be worried?

Both constipation and dehydration can cause cramping, as can just normal growing. I've had two separate days where I cramped almost constantly and I drank even more water than I usually do (and I usually drink a lot!) and they went away by the next morning. Congrats on the baby boy!

Thanks so much Duchess! I think I have to start pushing fluids. Normally, I don't like drinking water and I like it even less now that I'm pregnant. But I'll have to make myself drink more. No more cramping since morning so it was probably constipation and dehydration.

I haven't had cramping, per se, but I have noticed the last couple of weeks that I am very aware of where my uterus is. It feels hard and if I lean side to side, I feel like I want to keep stretching to stretch it out!

It has just felt heavy and full, like before AF, but without the actual cramps.

I assume, as a first time mom, it's just things moving and stretching to where they need to be!
