15 weeks and need opinions/advice!

Postby mw76777 » Wed May 20, 2015 10:03 am

Ok, so DH and I conceived before we were married. We got married a couple of weeks ago. (It was a beautiful wedding and we're so blessed!) Well, we were "trying but not trying" before we got married so we don't want people to think that we got married because we "had to." He is 30 and i'm 26 we're well old enough to be having children lol it's not anything like that. We have told all of our friends and family and all are excited for us. I am just ready to talk about it publicly so i'm trying to decide when to make the "we're expecting" announcement on facebook. We also were able to find out the sex at 12 weeks through a new non-invasive DNA blood test, it's a boy! I just can't wait to share this news with everyone but i'm hesitant! DH thinks we should wait another month and let the wedding excitement die down first but I feel like we don't have anything to hide and people are going to be judgmental if they want to be. I'm to the point where it's driving me crazy not being able to openly speak about it especially now that the wedding is over and my brain has more room to think about baby! lol I should mention we got married in 2 months so i'm sure people already have their suspicions...

anyway, what do y'all think!?!?

I say screw what people think about you! :) Tell them. Most everyone will be excited for you and if they aren't then you don't need them in your life. You may have a few people that may question if that was the reason why you got married but you can simply tell them, "not at all, we were getting married whether we were pregnant or not". Or you can just tell them it's non of their business to question it! lol ;) but that's just me.. But I think people that really love and care for you will be supportive. As for FB you can always make it like a cutesy wedding thing where your hubby gave you a present a little early or say just to add to the excitement of just getting married we're having a baby!

But make sure DH is ok with announcing it, I'm sure if you just explain how excited you are he will understand. But CONGRATS on your baby boy!!! How many weeks are you?

Oops! I didn't really read the title.. I see that you are 15 weeks! I would be dying if I was that far along and no one knew and I couldn't talk about it.

People will do the math either way. I was afraid everyone would think I got pregnant behind Shawns back but so far only his one aunt has said anything.

If the wedding was planned before you conceived or you were engaged then they don't really have a case. A shot gun wedding so to speak would give people that kind of impression, but I would just announce after 12 weeks and if people are dumb enough to say anything to your face tell them its none of their business.
