14 weeks and not feeling pregnant anymore

Hi there!

Is it normal to feel like you're not pregnant anymore after having reached the 2nd trimester? I didn't have very bad symptoms to begin with (queasiness and the need to eat not to feel icky all the time, very sore boobs and nipples, pretty bad fatigue), so now that they're basically all gone, I feel quite worried that something's happened to the baby. I don't feel the baby moving yet, and my belly hasn't popped yet - I have some padding of my own to begin with.

I know the second trimester is supposed to be the "best" of all of the three trimesters, but the lack of earlier symptoms is making me freak out.

I am expecting my first baby, so I have nothing to compare this to.

Any reassurance would be appreciated. :)

Completely normal! I am 22+2 and once my morning sickness went away (around 11 weeks) I didn't feel pregnant until about 16-17 weeks when I started to feel my little one move.

I still feel great, I just get sleepier much earlier then I used to lol and I'm getting BIG!

I had very good days around that time. I lost weight, had tons of energy, and felt awesome. The difference for me was that I felt the baby move for the first time around there. I would only feel her once a day or so. No I'm feeling her several times a day.

Thank you ladies for giving me reassurance. :)

My next midwife appointment isn't until the end of the month, and the next ultrasound at the end of December, so I won't get medical assurance for a while now...

Midwife doesn't do heartbeat doppler monitoring?

I've heard it's very normal to have a period between morning sickness and the baby moving where one has to wonder (I guess that's the one advantage to my morning sickness having lasted until 25 weeks. I generally knew she was fine).

A lot of people call 2nd trimester the golden period because you don't feel sick and you're not huge. Things are probably fine. Enjoy it while it lasts. :)

Yes, the midwife does doppler monitoring, but that's still a while away. For some reason, there's an eight-week gap between the first and second midwife appointment. I did have an nt scan a few weeks ago, and the baby was fine then. It's just that the strongest symptoms disappeared last week.

It probably is all fine, but I'm a worry wart.

In 14 week pregnancy baby's body growing faster than his head, which now sits upon a more distinct neck. By the end of this week, his arms will have grown to a length that's in proportion to the rest of his body.

Yes, this is normal. As long as there aren't any adverse symptoms then all should be fine.
