Feeling movement?

Postby Ckatta14 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 5:17 am

When did everyone start feeling movement?? I feel here and there quick jabs in my groin area but that's it, no real big movements and it's not consistent some days I don't feel it. I'm just over 19 weeks and feeling a little concerned.

Do you know where your placenta is located? And if your uterus is tilted? It all can play a role in feeling movements. I'm a first time mom and I started feeling little movements around 15 weeks but not every day and it's not very obvious. Now at 19 weeks I seem to feel very soft kicks even lightly against my hand if I hold my hand firmly on my belly but still nothing obvious or strong. My placenta is fundal (top of uterus, opposite of cervix) and a bit anterior.

With my first pregnancy I started feeling some movement around 18 weeks but it wasn't until I was 23 weeks plus that I felt constant movement. My placenta was on the front so the baby had to kick through the placenta for me to feel so like the previous poster said lots of factors can play into how soon you can feel movement. With my current pregnancy my placenta is on the back so I've been feel strong kicks since 17 weeks. If this is your first pregnancy it will take longer to feel movement.
