I work from home for clients. They all know that I am pregnant and I will work until I cannot work. Most likely probably I'll work the day I deliver. LOL
Dear Son born at 41w, delivered vaginally and med free after labor for a day and a half.

I will work until 36 weeks. In California, if you pay into SDI you can start taking it 4 weeks prior to due date (or earlier if "disabled" by your doctor.)

I am still working with 8 days to go.. my leave is exactly one week from my scheduled c-section.. last day Sept 18th....I am in CA too and we get 4 weeks paid before and 6-8 weeks after and then another 6 weeks after that if you want.. my problem..I have a daughter in college and a son who is a senior in high school and can't afford to take off.. disablity does not pay the same :? so I am working as long as I can.... I cut back my hours a bit and when I go back in January it will be from 8-2:30pm only.. can't wait!!! to tell you the truth I am dragging a ton so I will be glad to be done...

I work from home managing a website so I'm only taking a couple of weeks off when he's born - I figured it's pointless to take any more time because it's not like I have to leave my house or anything.

I have offically put in my mat leave start date of October 1st. I live in Canada and am entitled to a full yaer of mat leave, so i'm giong to take it early and if I need the extra time at the end (without pay) I will request it and my job will be held a full 2 years after my mat leave.

I'm my sisters matron of honour in her wedding on Noveber 14th (i'm due December 14th based on 40 weeks) so I'm going to enjoy this time off to relax (so I can stay pregnant for her wedding) and help her get the last few minute things all pulled together.

I'm a little nervous about being off though, my wife carried our first son and took that mat leave so this will be my first time with Grifyn all the time - which i'm excited about getting to bond more with him. But i'm nervous about not having a routine like I do right now. Mind you, I bet it will all be great the minute I don't have to get up from bed and get ready for work!
