Baby is taking up all available space in your belly. Baby showers and buying things for the nursery are on your mind. Childbirth classes, baby will be here before you know it!

Ladies, just curious to know if you're banking your cord blood and with which organization!

It sounds like a great opportunity and many potentials, but it wasn't something DH and I could afford knowing that we hope to have a large family.
Banking cord blood and paying the maintenance fees for 1 or 2 children would probably be feasible, but we want 7 kids - and it just isn't going to happen.
Good luck with your decision!

We didn't b/c we couldn't afford it. And we probably won't be able to afford it next time either, but I'd like to see about donating it.

I looked into donating mine, but couldn't because I got a tattoo within a year of giving birth. I hope to donate it next time though.

DH wanted to. This is his only child and we are older parents. We can afford to and that was what really decided it for us. I have 2 older children 18 and 17 and there is no way I could have afforded it then so I probably would have donated it back then (if it existed).
I think if we were going to have more children we may have not done it because of cost for all 3, who knows. I am also hoping that someday this babies cord might be able to be used by my older kids (God forbid they need it) but for now the matching for half siblings is rare.
