Your Top 5 Pregnancy Complaints

Postby bsweet » Wed Jan 19, 2011 8:38 am

Sorry for the negative post!! But at 5 weeks to go, I am really needing a vent session ;-) My top 5 complaints are as follows

5. HEARTBURN-- after even a snack. I can't so much as eat a cheerio without indigestion setting in. Thank you TUMS!!!

4. Crotch tenderness--I have no idea what is going on down there, but I feel like my vajayjay may actually fall out at any given moment. I guess this means LO is "engaged"

3. Sinus/ Nasal Congestion--I think I have been through at least 12 boxes of tissues this pregnancy, and the kicker is that it is mostly swollen nasal passages, so nothing even comes out--no relief whatsoever!

4. Storytime with DD1 is not the same with my huge belly :-( We read together every night at bedtime and poor thing doesn't have any room in the riocking chair with my preggo midsection taking up all available space

and my number one complaint...drumroll...
5. RESTLESS LEGS--OMG these things are driving me CRAZY! It's like they know the minute I am just about to fall into a deep peaceful sleep and BANG--twitching, itching, can't get comfortable madness!!!!

IT WILL ALL BE WORTH IT IN THE END!!!! but these are the things that I will not miss in the least!!!!!

1. Back Pain

2. Hip pain

3. foot pain and foot swelling

all leading to...

4. Poor sleep

Finally

5. Either carpal Tunnel symptoms (not common, but apparently due to increased blood flow and swelling)
OR Bending over and not being able to breath! Ok, just having room in the belly to breath all together :)

OH, i hope this LO doesn't go over due! I'm counting on only 2.5 weeks or less left!!! May we all have time passing quickly!

5. It WAS heartburn, but prilosec is also my lifesaver! I wish tums was enough, it was so bad I was throwing up or almost throwing up several times a day.

4. Being tired all the time.

3. Shuffling around on the ice trying not to slip and kill myself when my balance is terrible.

2. Hip pain.

1. No energy to play with my son. :( Not being able to sit on the floor with him, having no room on my lap for him, dreading every time he needs something that requires me to get up because it makes me have contractions.

Hmmm, let's see. As of 30 weeks, worst first:

1. Stress and anxiety about something going wrong with the pregnancy (thankfully so much better for the past month)

2. Rib pain and back pain when sitting

3. Constantly needing to be within range of a bathroom, a bottle of water, and a snack.

4. Feeling large and slow

5. Dissatisfaction with maternity wardrobe... my (expensive!) pants are too tight and falling down at the same time.

If it weren't for the anxiety, the other four are no biggie. I feel very lucky so far!
