Ho much raspberry leaf tea and epo?

Postby peardrop » Fri Feb 04, 2011 5:41 pm

How much of this should I be taking? I would like to avoid an induction at all costs and I'm hoping raspberry leaf tea and epo will do the trick.

Thanks

I don't think there is a limit on the tea you can drink. It just helps strengthen your uterus. For the EPO, I did that twice a day. I did mine vaginally after 37 weeks. Poke a hole in it with a sterile pin and insert it near your cervix, but be sure to wear a pad since the oil will leak a little. I don't think either of those methods will throw you into labor, but the EPO is supposed to help with cervix ripening, and the tea supposedly helps your contractions be a bit more effective when they do start.

Good luck!

I am a big advocate of both of these things because I used them DD and my labor went really smoothly. I drank three cups of tea a day starting at 38 weeks, but this time I will start earlier (probably 37). I also used EPO, but only once a day when I went to bed.
