Ocular Migraines

Did you have ocular migraines with your pregnancy? This is the first time I have had ocular migraines repeatedly. Wondering if it has anything to do with hormones.

Lurking from 2nd tri.

Has your blood pressure been ok? Has it been taken during these episodes?

I only ask because DH was told that's what was probably going on, when in actuality he had dangerously high blood pressure. I'm not trying to freak you out or anything, just want you to consider your BP.

Do you have a way to take it at home while having one of these migraines?

Hopefullymaybe, I thought the same thing...I had then once years ago with a pregnancy that I miscarried and had never had them before, so I thought i was having an aneurysm or something so I ran to the ER. They said they were like migraines without the pain. My BP is pretty low right now too...I will pay attention though..usually happens right upon waking up.

Lurking...

Are you referring to migraine with aura?

I had those incessantly for one week of my pregnancy (6.5-7.5 weeks). It was due to surging hormones...they stopped and havent returned (knocking on wood).

I used to get these kind of migraines when I was younger, so I was more prone to them already.

As soon as I noticed the aura, I took 2 extra strength Tylenol with a small cup of regular coke..it helped a lot.
