Progesterone 17p injections

Postby Saraq » Fri Feb 08, 2013 5:34 pm

Is anyone else getting these weekly? I have been getting them weekly since 16 weeks. The last 2 weeks I have noticed that 2-3 days before I'm due to get it again I've been getting lots of contractions. I've been to L&D twice and I'm not dilating or anything and I had a negative fetal fibronectin so dr just told me to keep getting shots as scheduled and sent me home. I got my shot today after having contractions all day for 3 days and they have all pretty much stopped and baby boy is WAY higher (he was uncomfortably low the last few days).

Anyone else feel like the shots start to wear off before the week is through?

I'm just 26+5 today so not quite third trimester, but figured I'd be more likely to find someone with experience here.

I am on them too. I have been on them since 19 weeks. So far I haven't noticed anymore contractions but I am drinking a ton and on bedrest so not really pushing my body. Maybe if I was more active I would notice some? Are you on bedrest at all? Maybe just try taking it easy more. For me, bedrest and the shots have really helped stop the contractions I was having at 19 weeks.

Nope no bedrest at all, I have a feeling I may end up there though.
