Flying during pregnancy? **x-posted**

I have to fly for work at 28 weeks next week...I called my midwife and she said it was fine and that they don't normally limit air travel until 36 weeks. So she wasn't concerned at all..I'm just a little nervous...does anyone have any experience with this? Have you flown before in your third tri? Was it fine?

Just worried about baby, though everyone assures me he should be fine :-/

i've flown twice during this pregnancy (well, i guess 4 times since they were round trip haha), both times in the second tri though. I was worried because I've heard some people get nauseous when flying while pg and i'm prone to motion sickness. but they went great, no complaints! how long is the flight?

Thanks ladies! That's very reassuring :) kimberlina, I get motion sick bad during flights so Im hoping that's not an issue! The flight should be relatively short, it's just from Texas to Colorado and back a week later..crossing my fingers it's an uneventful trip!

Hey Jess! Just got back from Cabo last night and am 28+4 weeks... the flight down there (1hr flight connecting to 4hr flight) I got slightly swollen ankles, and just made sure to get up every once in a while to walk around (was easy since I had to pee frequently!) and on the flight home last night (4hr flight) I also got swollen ankles. Other than that, I felt totally normal and felt baby move normally during the flight too! Just make sure to drink lots of water, and enjoy your trip :) I'll be flying again in two weeks at 30+ weeks, but it will be a shorter (2 hour) flight...

Flying at this stage should be fine. They just say to make sure you're getting up and walking around every hour and staying super hydrated...
safe travels!
