Homeopathy to induce labor?

Postby Hunnybunny22 » Sun Oct 20, 2013 1:58 am

anyone tried anything like this before?
as you can see from my siggy i carried both babies to 42+1 and inductions for both, one was an emergency c section and the next was a VBAC. I am hoping for my VBAC2 any day now but again the likelyhood of being induced is upon me. i have been taking caulophyllum 200c 3 times in 12 hours as advised by a homeopath to kickstart labor usually it is supposed to worker the closer and beyond your due date you are and i am due in 3 days. so far i have just had some lower back pains nothing much. Has anyone taken this or something similar and it work or not work?

Sorry, can't help there as this is my first, but are you doing other things to help encourage your body? IE sex, evening primrose oil against your cervix, nipple stimulation, etc.?

My midwife says that your body just will not respond if it really isn't ready (hence the rate of failed inductions leading to C-sections), but if it's just on the tipping point, then doing a combination of things works better than relying on just one method.

Have you tried acupuncture to induce labor? You have to find someone trained & experienced in working on pregnant women, but I've heard that it can really work, and even if you end up having to be induced anyway, it can reduce the risk of C-section. Now that's all second-hand, I haven't seen any scientific evidence or statistics about it.
