Early Labour has begun!

Postby Gubee » Tue Nov 18, 2014 3:40 pm

so today 10:45 am, I noticed some brownish pinkish discharge on my panty! We are still in shock! Due date is actually in 2 days! So I called my OB, and I got internal exam. I was told I'm opened 0.5cm only, and baby's head isn't engaged fully. He expects things will likely move along by tomorrow! This is so exciting, though I'm a bit nervous as well. I'm also experiencing irregular contractions since the show, not the same pain level every time.

I'm trying to rest to preserve energy for the action!!! YEAH!!

Thanks both! This morning I had a big glob of burgundy colored mucous on TP (sorry tmi I know), I believe it is the mucous plug. I assume that means I have opened more. I didn't call my OB though, cuz yesterday he told me to just go to the hospital when I hv 5 min contractions. Right now, contractions are still not so regular. Typically 10-20 mins apart and lasts like 45s to a min or so... Hopefully things will move along tomorrow! We r ready for our first little one, but it's also scary to face the pain during labour (plan for drug free)!!

Hello everyone! Baby was born on the exact due date! The contractions during the transition period was horrible until when I felt like to push it was nightmare... But it's amazing how our body can manage such hard work. I did it unmedicated and I'm glad I did.

Good luck to all mom soon to be here!!!
