Nontraditional appointment schedule.

Hi ladies.
Are any mommies seeing their doctor way less than the traditional 2x a month starting at 28 weeks then 1 time a week at 36 weeks. I find it weird that I saw my doctor at 33 weeks 5 days which was 3 weeks after my last 1x a month visit at 30 weeks. It will be every week after the 35 week 5 day but I only wonder because I have had hypertension with my last pregnancy. It seems weird to see me less.

My doctor did it a little different. He scheduled an appointment every four weeks, then every three weeks, and just recently every two weeks. So I ended up being an appointment at 28 weeks, 31 weeks, 33 weeks, and then 35 weeks. My 36th week will be Thanksgiving week so I have no idea if he will skip that or not.

I'm high risk, so my doctor has just scheduled appointments whenever he wanted. I was out of the country for a couple weeks and then labor day happened so our 20 week scan was actually at 21 weeks 5 days. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless your doctor doesn't know about your complications with your previous pregnancy. My next appointment is at 30w 5 days and I'm hoping I can convince them to do an Echocardiogram at 32 and meet with me immediately after to discuss labor plans because right now everything is very up in the air :D, but I'm not sure with the holiday schedule that they will go for that

Thanks ladies. Holiday babies sort of have to be scheduled funny. I know my body well enough to recognize significant problems for me but not necessarily for her. My last pregnancy ended with me waiting at home in labor to encourage a VBAC only to get to L&D with elevated blood pressure and a distressed fetus. I just want healthy baby and mom. Off to the doctor today.
