Still sore after one month

Still sore after one month

Postby Jewlpreggo » Thu Nov 19, 2009 10:48 am

Hi all! I hope everyone is doing well with their LO's. I tore sideways (yes, I know very strange, even my doc commented) during delivery. I believe it was a 2nd degree tear. I've been feeling good but I am still sore in that area. I can feel where I tore. I believe most of the stitches have come out. Anyways, I was just wondering if it is normal to still feel discomfort after a month?

i had a 2nd/3rd degree laceration and i remember still feeling a bit sore after a month. they give you 6 weeks medical leave for a reason ... we need it! just take it easy and you'll start to feel more normal every day that goes by.

Oh I hope so. And I take it back, my stitches aren't out. I got a bit more adventurous when washing that area, and felt that they are deeper than I thought and I felt the stitches (:P) I think the way I'm sitting is causing the discomfort. Maybe I'll go back to sitting on a pillow for a bit!

i sat at a lean for a long time ... it was much more comfortable than sitting right on my bottom.

I had 4th degree, I am still bleeding, still in a lot of pain and still hurts to pee/poop, but it gets a bit better every week. I have heard people on here say they bleed nd are in pain for a couple months PP. Seems normla to me, but ouch on that sideways tear

Ouch, 4th degree sounds bad. What is it exactly? I only know 1st and 2nd.

Ya the sideways is a bit odd. I tore toward the left, and yes I also do the lean thing too. I have been actually BFing on the couch Indian style (I know that's not politically correct to say anymore) with my Boppy on my lap. I think that is also playing into why I've been sore lately.
