Hi ladies,
How long did it take you to lose the baby weight? I have to go back to work in a few weeks and had to go buy some new slacks today a size bigger. My LO is only 6 weeks and I am trying not to be too hard on myself. Just curious how everyone else is doing.

I know me personally, I started out a size 11 @ 155lbs. I was 203lbs when I delivered, and am down to 175lbs now. I can fit into a size 13 (it's tight but I can do it). I decided to be comfortable though and bought a size 15 pair of jeans. They look MUCH more flattering than the muffin top size 13 ones.

That's just my experience though.

For me, the weight came to a plateau at around 8 weeks then at 12 weeks it started coming off quickly again for some reason. Right around the time that i purchased new pants, I lost more wt. Even at prepreg wt though, things fit differently.

with my first pregnancy it took me 7 months to loose 65 lbs,,, This pregnancy I just hit 6 weeks as well and I will be starting back to exercise on Monday- have another 50-60 to loose this time as well.

I'm at 9 weeks pp now and was 166 two days before delivery and am at 137 now. I've plateaued there since about 6 weeks.

I'm not really doing anything to bring the weight off but I do EBF. I'd like to be at 130 maximum. My pre-pregnancy jeans fit but they are tighter and my fat jeans from before are the only ones that are truly comfortable.

Yes me too. I am 6 weeks post and stuck at 137. I also got to about 165-167 when baby Matthew was born. I feel that I lost the weight quicker with my first born. Thank you for sharing your stories. I feel better not to put so much pressure on myself anymore. :)

Pre Preggers with DS1 I was 200, then got up to 250 and only managed to get down to 220 before I got Preggers with DS2....At delivery I was 250 again this time, and two weeks Postpartum I am down to 230 and fitting comfortably in a 15/16.....at my First Pre Pregger weight I was in a 14 @ 200lbs, Its amazing how things do fit differently Post Partum, If I get back down to 200, I cannot fathom I will be in a 14 again, most likely a 12!

**Edited to add that I am not exercising other than the recomended walking and some very light Wii fit games like bowling and golf and I am not Breastfeeding either.**

I still had about 7 extra pounds left on me from DS when I got pregnant with our second LO. I'm hoping that with breastfeeding and two under 2 running around that I'll get back to my original weight by 9 months PP.

hahahahaha :lol: :lol: :lol: muffin top, Yeah I still have 25 to lose ( Igained 65 :oops: ) lost 50 in the first 8 weeks with EBF and diet, 15 to lose of baby wt and would like to lose 10 more as i had put on 10 pounds after i got married. I also had to buy the larger pants to avoid the muffin top

I lost all my weight in the first 4 weeks. But I am still a size bigger in my jeans. I got a bit of a gut from having the c-section. I've just decided to give into it for now. better to be comfy and slowly work it off then to drive myself nuts.

I was a size 14 when I delivered and am now down to a 6, but still 10 lbs up - I think maybe I have more muscle now, but I'm still not quite down to pre-pgncy weight at 1 year PP. I work out 3-5 times a week and watch what I eat.

However, I gained too much w/ DS, and lost 40 lbs by the time he was 4 months old. It's the last 15 lbs that seem to be taking forrrrrrrrrrrrrever....

I gained 28-ish pounds, and lost it all by my 6 week PP checkup.

That said? A lot of my pants still don't fit, I am squishy in the middle, still, my body shape changed some. And I had gained 10 pounds right before getting pregnant that are still not going away.

Don't worry, 9 months on, 9 months off! You sound like you're doing great, you have plenty of time!

I gained about 50 lbs- I lost 30 of it almost right away. But man those last 20 stuck with me for at last 5/6 months. I was eating right and working out...I thought it was never going to come off!! I went out and bought bigger pants and just said, okay this is the way it's going to be!

Now at 8 1/2 months pp, the pants I wore BEFORE I got pregnant are too big! Ive lost all of it and then some!

Give it time! I wasn't one of the girls that lost ALL of it right away, but it did eventually come off!

I was 128 pre-preg, and am now 139. I lost 27 of the 54 (gulp) I had gained within 2-3 weeks (breastfeeding as well), then gained 4 back. Since early October I've been going back to the gym 3x/wk, walking on the treadmill and some ab exercises, and watching what I eat. It was only once I started doing that the weight started to drop off nicely.

I gained about 25lbs and have just lost the last couple this week. But I still feel like I need to tone up a little!
