Diaper blow out!!

Postby babyhelstrup » Fri Mar 26, 2010 1:23 pm

I have been using pampers for my little girl.. And lately when she has a good BM it goes right up her back and out.. UGH!!! Sucks when i dress her "cute" and then have to break out the back up outfit in her diaper bag (which is not cute).. Should I try a different diaper or am i not sinching it tightenough.. Or shold I move to the next size (2). She is about 13 lbs now...

We had a bunch of blowout diapers in the beginning but it seems to have leveled off a bit. We moved Natalie to size 2 dipes and it does help. It sucks that you get less dipes for the money though.

You could also try switching to cloth.... I was one of those who never thought I could do it, but now I can't imagine putting sposies on my lil man. Once we converted to all cloth all the time, we havent had a single blowout.

Visit the Cloth Diapering forum if you are interested, and there's a lot of ladies who can offer great advice for starters! :D

sometimes,, blow outs just happen regardless of the diaper. Try the next size tho- she may be ready

Size didn't matter for us. DS had blow-outs CONSTANTLY until he started solid foods at 6 months. It was like probably 5-6 times per week, if not every day. Seriously. No different brand worked. Breast milk just makes the poop so runny. Once we started solid foods, like got a little cleaner. :)
