For you c section mammas I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing numbness, no feeling at the incision spot? Mine is numb on the left side what would cause this?

I am a year out and still my incicion is numb. It's normal because they cut the nerves and stuff. It is getting slowly better.

Yep. Numbness is normal and does improve over time. I'm two years out and the area around my scar is still slightly weird feeling but nowhere near as strange as right after it healed. For a while when I touched my scar, I could feel tingling a few inches south of it but that's gone now. I guess our nerves are pretty resilient and find their way back home with time.

3 yr post It's still numb. Not as numb as before tho. Becareful where the numb area is so you don't scratch it. I one time scratched it probably while sleeping unaware how much skin I actually scraped off. TMI, but I would really becareful about that!

I am also 2 1/2 yrs post c-section and mine is finally no longer numb but does have a tingly sensation when touching the scar itself. It use to be numb about half an inch above and below. I wanna say it took about 1 1/2 to 2 yrs for the numbness to go away for me.

Mine was 2 years ago, and i have gotten some of the feeling back (was numb at first)...feels more normal, but still not as strong of a feeling there

I also sometimes will still get random pain there, but its usually a short pain, that goes away

also, you will have more nerve damage on one side, based on what hand is your doctors primary hand (my right side was a deeper cut and took longer to heal), because whatever hand your doctor is, is the side the make the cut and work on

Mine will be a year next week and I'm still numb and sometimes it gets really itchy as if it's still trying to heal, so weird!
