how soon did you get pregnant after your c section

Fourth you ask? Your body is still full of pregnancy hormones as you adjust to life sleep-deprived with your new baby outside your womb.

It took us 5+ years and a cycle of IVF to get pregnant. I had a c-section and I'm not sure if I am a candidate for a VBAC. We have 3 snowbabies that we want to go back for when our son is 1 year old. I asked my doctor if there would be any problem with me getting pregnant then and he said, "Nope, see you in a year!" Of course, I will have to get an ok from our RE too. We are not preventing now.

I got pregnant 3.5 months after my first c/s...oops! lol. I did attempt a VBAC, but had failure to progress and had a second c/s. I got pregnant 16 months after my second c/s, and then about 24.5 months after the 3rd.

Oh goodness! I hope my OB wasn't upset with me! We didn't ask, we just went ahead and got pregnant LOL! I was pregnant with #2 two months after DD's 1st birthday. They will ultimately be 21 months apart. My OB never said anything to lead me to believe that trhere was any kind of risk or anything related to having had a c-section and then having them close in age...although she has recommended a repeat section over trying for a vbac...but honestly, I probably would have opted for that anyway, just because of the convenience of planning,,,and having survived it once--easier to go with what you know...if that makes sense?

DD: 18 months :-)

My children are 15 mos apart. 18 mos is timing preferred for time between sections. I had a repeat section and doctor said I would have ruptured if I had a vbac.
