Post partum pain in booty?

Postby rdhmommy » Sat Nov 06, 2010 9:51 am

I had my DD over wk ago. All was good. Vag delivery. Had a painless BM in hospital. But now couple days ago, I am having slight abdominal pains along with uncomfortable BM's and pain in rectal area when I sit down or get up.

Anyone else getting this booty pain?

I had the same thing after DS and turns out it was an internal hemi. They just gave me a Rx for a cream and it was gone within a couple days. Before I called the dr the pain had gotten so bad I couldn't sit down or even pass gas without a lot of pain. Hope you feel better soon.

Hemis for me, too...I don't get them until a few weeks after birth for some reason. I had a hint of them right at the end of PGcy, but noticed on my birth notes that it said I didn't have them (they must have gone by then...) but oh my lord...the past several weeks I've been suffering! The most pain is when they burst...you'll know if they do...it's not a pretty picture. Drink more water, eat more fiber and pray that softens things enough to make it easier! Mine finally seems to be calming back down. I think BFing is pulling a lot of my usual water out of my body, cause I don't normally have a problem going...

Hmmm, guess that's probably what I had too!!? Might be TMI but I found that if I kinda rocked side to side it helped with the pain...
...Weird that that would be what it was though b/c they had me on softeners & I hadn't had any the entire pregnancy, but yeah that SUCKED!!!!

I had this with my 3rd delivery. It wasn't hemroids for me. It was from pushing so hard during delivery. Like I strained musles in there. I was so numb with this epi and I only pushed for 6 minutes 8O The first BM didn't hurt but others for about 3 weeks did. Like muscle spasms. Almost like cramping in your rectum or wierd type of pain in there acccompanied by stomach cramping. Kind of hard to describe  It hurt and was uncomfortable. It went away on it's own never to return.
