PPD and SAMe? xpost

Postby MotoX Mom » Sat Jan 01, 2011 11:23 am

At 14m PP I have finally been diagnosed with ppd. I believe it is a mild case, but it has come on stronger since we have almost completed weaning. I think it has been here for a while, I just didnt recognize it. I have zoloft that the dr rx me, but have yet to take it.

I always like to try a natural approach before taking meds. I was wondering if anyone has used SAM-e for ppd with any success?

I am also combing this with Omega 3's, exercise, diet change and sunshine...most of which I have lacking since DDs birth.

Here is some info on it:

I'm sorry you're going through this! I'm only expecting baby #1 now but I have taken SAM-e for regular depression before and it really helped. I hope it works for you and you can stay away from the meds though! :grouphug:
