Sleeping thru the night?

Fourth you ask? Your body is still full of pregnancy hormones as you adjust to life sleep-deprived with your new baby outside your womb.

Lilah did it for the first time very abruptly at a little past 4 months. Then she just as abruptly stopped. At 6 months we did progressive waiting (Ferber) and it took 3 nights. Now she goes to sleep at 7:30, wakes once at 4:30 to nurse and is up for the day at 6:30.

You may have a ways yet, although every baby is different. It seems people either get a sleeper or they don't lol. Believe it or not you do get very used to it. If your baby is only getting up once every few hours in the first few months, that's a good and lucky thing. :)

Brennan started sleeping 6 hours straight at about 6 weeks. We don't put him down until 11/11:30 and he gets up around 5-6 to nurse then usually back to sleep anywhere from 9-11.

I agree that you either get a sleeper or you don't.
