What kind of bottles do you ladies recommend?

Fourth you ask? Your body is still full of pregnancy hormones as you adjust to life sleep-deprived with your new baby outside your womb.

Depends on what your overall plan is. If you plan on BFing and want to avoid nipple confusion, bottles with more natural breast-like nipples will probably be preferable. My DD is BFed, but we do the occasional bottle of pumped milk- she's only 6 weeks old, but she flat out refused the Born Free bottles. She does ok with the classic Avent bottles, probably because that was the first bottle we tried with her (I have an Avent pump). However, she does best with the Tommee Tippee bottles. Avent has a new bottle out that is supposed to be similar to a breast nipple, although I have no first hand experience with it.

If you are not concerned about nipple confusion, the Dr Browns are supposed to be great for colic. They do have a zillion pieces though. A lot of my friends also like the Playtex Ventaires.

Most importantly, I'd only buy one or two bottles of a certain type to make sure your LO will actually take it, and to see how many you actually need. I bought four different kinds, 17 bottles total, and we will barely be using any of them. Such a waste.. And I had people tell me not to buy many bottles ahead of time, to wait and see, but I didn't listen.

We give DD a bottle of pumped breast milk every day. We use the regular Avent bottles and she does pretty well with them. When she's hungry, she takes it; when she's done she spits it out but that's the same as the breast so I don't think that's a bottle issue.

Playtex Drop-ins! They are SO SO easy and you can squeeze the air out. They are the only bottle I've used with DS.

Breastfed babies here and they love the milk bank brand. Amazon has a 3 pack. Help with both nipple confusion and gas.

So far, we've had great luck with the Playtex Ventaire. Our baby is four days old.

My baby is 5 months now, and she started getting bottles of breastmilk when I went back to work at 8 weeks. My babysitters mostly used Avent Natural bottles until a couple weeks ago when she started refusing bottles, and then she would take the Lansinoh mOmma but only about half the times she used to. Now she's back to what she had been eating, but we've been sticking mostly with Lansinoh. She has taken a Comotomo bottle, but I get the feeling my babysitters don't care for it for some reason. My baby is mostly breastfed except for 3 days a week when she is with the babysitter for about 9-10 hours on 2 days and about 7-8 hours the 3rd day.
Recently had our first child and have been married since October 6, 2006. I'm 27 and DH 29.

First pregnancy chemical, January 31, 2013.

Got our BFP on March 6, 2013. EDC November 11. Born November 11, 2013!
