ok. this is an odd topic.   i have searched the net to little avail trying to find out if anyone else has had this problem. I didn't have any major trauma down there during birth. just a minor episiotomy. but since the beginning of week 2 my clit has been sensitive, in a bad way, to touch. it feels sore. anyone else have this? did my nerves get damaged???

I was very sore down there until about 4-6 weeks after I had DD. Everything is fine now! :)

I totally remember! I had the same problem! It should get better though. If it doesn't, I would mention it to your Dr. :)

Layla-

TOTALLY! I also feel like whenever I stand up to quickly all the blood rushes to that spot and it is SO SORE! I also had a bit of a tear but the number one thing that throbs sometimes is my clitoris. I am glad I am not the only one.

thanks ladies!
I am glad I am not alone on this either. I was wondering if anyone else had this since I'd never heard anyone mention it. glad there is hope it'll get better though. It's bad enough that sex will hurt cause of the episiotomy scare etc the first time, and then throw in another sore bit on top of that.... I was like, "geez.. will sex ever feel good again??". It's like, I really wanna get back into the swing of being intimate with DH..a lot.. but all my parts are still so sensitive..lol. all well, i'm only 2 1/2 weeks into PP so I'm optimistic things will get better.

Mine was too, but it went away after a couple weeks. I thought it was odd too, but all is well now.

Mine was really sore too - I also tore up rather than down and even though my midwife compared the extent of my tear to a skinned knee and I only needed one stitch, I swore she must have done it too tight as every time I stood up it felt like my clit was being squeezed really hard and it would throb. It went away around 5 or 6 weeks though and every thing has been good since.
