Fourth you ask? Your body is still full of pregnancy hormones as you adjust to life sleep-deprived with your new baby outside your womb.

I gained 40lbs during the pregnancy. After Lauren was born at 6lbs 10oz, I only lost about 5 lbs when I weighed myself after coming home. This was due to the incredible amount of water I retained AFTER she was born. After I started to lose the water retention the weight came off fast. Within 2 weeks I was down 20lbs and lost the rest in about 3 or 4 more weeks. I also lost about 10 more lbs on top of that so I lost about 50lbs by 4 months PP.

I gained 23 pounds total this pregnancy, and by my 4 week pp checkup, I had lost it all. I'm Exclusively Breastfeeding though... and i lost it all a LOT quicker this time than with the other two who I formula fed.

I gained 22 lbs during pregnancy and the day I got home from the hospital I had already lost about 15 of that. Then within the week the other 7lbs came off. Now I'm actually less than pre preg but I had gained weight from Clomid so I'm working on that now. ;)

I am trying to watch what I eat.....we'll see I am only 10 days PP

With my first baby, started at 132 and gained 32lbs, I lost 75% if my weight by 4weeks. By 6weeks I was in pre-pregnancy clothes and my normal shape back.

Baby number 2. :? started at 132 and gained 42lbs, took a total of 9 months to get back to pre-pregnancy weight and shape. Then shortly after that i lost another 10lbs and was a bit of an unhealthy thin.

With this one, started at 175 (gained a lot last year due to PCOS, Endo, Clomid) and so far have only gained 25lbs and hasn't changed in weeks. So I'm hoping a lot will come off since I will be EBF and will start pushing the baby in the stroller around the neighborhood as soon as I am released to excercise.

With baby1 I EBF for 2 months, with baby2 it was a lot less. With this one, I'm determined to for a long time.

I gained..umm..err..umm...60 pounds  my last pregnancy. I was very swollen near the end with no ankles and Shrek feet, so a lot of it was water. I lost 30 pounds in a week and 10 more the next week. I also had crazy sweats! I would wake up completely soaked for a few weeks after the delivery. I guess my body had to get rid of all that water!

I gained 30, lost 10 of that with the baby, and another 5 melted away overnight about one week later. I have nursed off another 5 in the last two months and I figure I have 5 invested in breastfeeding boobies and another 5 legit pounds to loose.

I gained 35lbs overall and had lost 20lbs when I weighed myself 2 days after giving birth. It has taken me nearly 6 months to lose 5lbs and I still have 8lbs to go pre preg weight, and a further 7lbs to my goal weight. I am FF though so maybe I would have lost more if I had been BFing :dunno:

But without any real effort I'm happy to say that by around 4 weeks pp I had lost 30 lbs and was back into my regular clothes. My shape is still not exactly what it was pre baby but I'm working on that! I'd still like to lose another 10-15 lbs but am not too hurried for that too happen.

I just wanted to update this post now that I'm 4.5 months pp...I'm pleased to say I've lost all 40 lbs I gained while pregnant as well as an additional 10. I'm wearing pants that hadn't fit for 3 years. I breast feed and think this totally has helped as I'm certainly not working out or dieting...although as we all know there's not a lot of time to eat taking care of a new baby :D. I also walk twice a day with the baby. My stomach still looks flabby though  ...situps will probably help if I ever get around to doing them.

I had gained 36 lbs during pregnancy...and lost 20 in just under 2 weeks. Now I'm holding steady at 3 weeks and a few days pp...still up 15 lbs. I am breastfeeding...but nothing is dropping off at this point. I have the green light to exercise at 6 weeks...so hopefully that will help. I could always walk...but it's not inspiring to walk when it is so cold outside!!!
I also had meals delivered to me over the past few weeks that were a bit higher in fat & calories than I normally eat ..so once I start eating a little better I'm hoping to see some results. In the meantime...I had hoped to see the lbs drop off steadily...so I'm dissappointed to see the scale stick where it is. Sigh. I do have a bit of a pooch after my c-section as well...but I heard that pilates is the best thing for that. My one consolation is that I really didn't get stretch marks. Considering they run in my family (very badly)...and I had some already from puberty...it's a miracle that I didn't get them! Now to fit back into my clothes~!

I was induced (not out of choice) and i had alot of water retention, it took about 4 days to go, for me, but i think i was kinda bloated all over anyway due to pre eclampsia. :)
