I said yes, but that's because I always go overboard when it comes to the food at parties. I want people to have a variety. I'm a very picky eater, and that is the one thing at other peoples parties that I usually eat.

Here is the menu for P's 1st birthday comming up......

Hamburgers
Hot Dogs
Chicken (on the grill)
Pasta Salad
Potato Salad
Deli platter (with lunch meat and cheese, and bulky rolls to go with)
Chicken Nuggets
Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips
Chips
Corn on the Cob
individual cakes for my kids (my DS will get his cake too)
cupcakes

also, a couple people are bringing desserts, so I imagine there is going to be cookies, brownies, a trifle, and things of that nature.

This is the same type of menu we had at DS's 1st birthday. All said and done, with all the decorations, party tent, jummper house, and food we spent an embarrassing amount of money...........but the first birthday only comes once! His next birthdays were quite the shortcomming from that party.

I think it depends on the time. If its during lunch I'd get food. If its mid afternoon I think snakes are good enough

I'm cheap. lol. I had Braydens birthday party from 3-5 so I wouldn't have to feed anyone. I just had cake and drinks

haha, nap time was exactly my reason to have it at that time too!!!

I can't wait to see pics!!! I can't believe our babies are/turned 1 already. It just doesn't seem like it's been a year
