Need Carseat Help!!!

Postby ACJERSEY » Thu Mar 17, 2011 12:49 pm

My DD is going to be 1yr on 4/28 and she's now still in her infant carseat but going to be too big for that very soon. She is just 20lbs but just under 30"... so she has very little time before she is too tall for hers. I know it is best to get a combo carseat that will be rear-facing for now but I am totally lost on which one to get! Any ideas or input would be appreciated! TIA!

I did a lot of research when buying a carseat and if you plan on extending rear-facing, the Sunshine Kids Radian XTSL will last the longest. It's a great seat, slim, tall and very safe. I love it. It's not cheap though, but you will get your money out of it because it will last a long time. And you can find some great online deals on them.

Most convertibles can RF and FF. Britax makes great careseats and even though we switched to a Radian, we liked our MyRide 65. It's affordable, comfortable for DD and RF to 40lb.

I love my Safety First Air Protect Complete. It goes RFing until 40 lbs. My son is 36" tall (not even 2 yet) and he's still got several more inches left in the seat.

My suggestion is go to BRU and put her in each car seat.

I have an Evenflo Triumph and love it. It goes FF & RF and up to 50 lbs (forward facing).

I have the Sunshine Radian 80SL. It isn't cheap but its worth it. It can RF from 5-45 lbs and FF upto 80 lbs. So I'm probably good until he's 8
