I have three children: usually four month olds stay awake between 1.5 to 2.5 hours between naps and eat about every 3 hours with one long stretch in between feedings (breast fed baby).
My three darlings:
DS: Dec. 06
DD: Sep. 08
DS: Apr. 10

DS is 5 months now but it is roughly the same as at 4 months. He goes for a nap every 1.5 to 2 hours of awake time and eats every 2 hours. When he was younger he ate every 3 to 4 hours so he is eating a lot more often now.

Mckenzie has only just turned 5 months and in about the last week she has been able to stay awake for about 2 hours. At the beginning of her 4th month she was only staying awake 1.5hours. She is feeding every 4 hours - 5 feeds a day. HTH!
