staring out finger/table foods

Hi ladies!
I know this question has been asked a million times, so I thought I'd make it 1 million and 1. Just wanted to put this out there, i'm sure there are tons of suggestions you ladies could come up with that I might not think of.

What finger foods did you start your little ones on? My daughter is 10 months old and loves to feed herself. So far, I've started with

small pieces of chicken
small pieces of hamburger
sweet potato fries baked
cheerios or Gerber puffs
broccoli
scrambled eggs
pancakes

Thanks in advance!

My daughter isn't motivated to feed herself at all yet, but I've begun leaving some finger foods on her high chair tray once a day, just to see what she does with them. So far she mushes them up and drops them in her lap. Buuuuuut anyway, I've been offering chunks of soft-cooked vegetables and fruits, and little fingers of soft buttered bread.

Penelope Leach recommends shredded cheese, which I like the idea of too.

We do Cheerios, baked sweet potato, roasted apple (skinned and in chunks), steamed fruit (to make it softer, baby boy is only 8 months), and I think I may do egg yolk next. Oh and pieces of pasta. He doesn't actually consume too much, but he has fun! You could also do chunks of banana and avocado- we don't because Dylan is allergic....

Our boy is 10 1/2 months and we've given him strawberries, bananas, cheese, puffs and buttered bread. We've tried corn and watermelon before, but he doesn't seem to know what to do with them and spits them out. We definitely need to try more things though :)
