Need ideas on an infant tub

Postby tkmeawynow » Fri Nov 18, 2011 7:14 pm

so my chubby guy is almost 6 months and has outgrown the bath sling I wanted to use the bath seat but our new house has fancy tubs with built in slip guards so the dang things wont stick lol. I have no idea what to use. I really dont want one of the bigger tubs or the blow up one bc they re a pain to store,so any suggestions?

We started just putting ours in the actual bath tub around six months- when they were sitting up good on their own. Maybe thats an option for you?

I put my DS in the regular tub as soon as he could sit up, (around 4 months,). He loved it way more than being in the little tub or on the bath ramp thing. He would splash around and get himself and me soaked. lol

DH or I still just get right in the tub with DS. have since he was about 3 weeks old. we love it. it's very restful and soothing to float in the warm water together.

I’d get an infant bath tub – seems like the best option right now for your DS since he’s so playful, even if it does take up storage space. Maybe you can find a way to hang it over your shower.

I’ve been using an infant bath tub for DS ever since he was born. He’s now 18 months old and it still works well. It’s extra large in size and there are two positions which make it easy to bathe a newborn or a toddler. You don’t have to worry about space. I hang it on a nail on a wall in my bathtub so dries out well. It’s just $30 online – but you may be able to find it at a local department store.

Our twins are over 21 pounds now at 6 months and are rapidly outgrowing their infant tub. We are talking about just washing them in the sink. We have a big farm sink, so it should work if we wash it well beforehand. Neither of them can sit up unassisted for any length of time, but we should be able to support them. The bath rings don't work in our tubs either.
